Titan is actually Saturn’s largest moon, and it is often discussed as a potential place for human colonisation. It has a thick atmosphere and evidence of water below the surface, both of which are big positives. There are quite a few challenges too, however, one being the extremely cold temperatures (-180C) and the lack of a breathable atmosphere. It would be really difficult to heat any buildings or vehicles in such cold conditions.

A really strange thing about Titan is that it has seas or lakes of methane and ethane (which are usually gases on Earth but are liquids at very low temperatures) – which means hydrocarbons quite literally rain from the sky! Can you imagine something like petrol raining from the sky? That would certainly take some getting used to. But natural resources for fuel wouldn’t be a problem!
