  I haven’t no, but I used to build models and the like with Lego and K’Nex. And although different in nature, there are parts of this that would be like a car – fitting it all together!

I’ve replaced timing belts and alternators in one of my old petrol cars as 1. The timing belt was wearing down and 2. the carbon ‘brushes’ in the alternator were worn down meaning the car battery wasn’t being effectively recharged as the car ran.

I’d strongly recommend anyone doing their own car maintenance to get something with a bigger hood space than a Ford Ka!
