About Me: I live near Cambridge with my partner, and I work as an Advanced Polymer Scientist. I enjoy running, reading, and growing plants.

											My pronouns are: She/her
-
My Work: I am a polymer scientist who spends time in the lab most days. I make polymers for a range of applications including glues and paint coatings.
-
My Typical Day: My work day begins at 8 am. It varies day to day. Sometimes I will spend a lot of time analysing data on the computer, other days I will spend all day in the lab making a polymer (these are my favourite days). I leave work at 4 pm and will often go for a run to get some fresh air after spending most of the day inside.
-
Education:I went to typical mixed state primary and secondary schools. For GCSEs I did Triple Science, Maths, English, Geography, Spanish, History and P.E. For sixth form I went to a studio school which specialised in Science and Maths. For A-levels I did Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I enjoyed Chemistry most so went to study it at the University of Warwick. I finished my Bachelors degree (typically 3 years at university) in 2020 and started my PhD (typically another 3-4 years of research) . My PhD was in polymer chemistry and water-based adhesives. I finished my PhD in 2024.

								Qualifications:See education section.
-
Work History:During my A-levels I worked at Primark at the weekend. After finishing my PhD I started a research job with a company who formulate (formulate is mostly a fancy work for mix) polymers into conformal coatings (coatings which are put on electronic circuits boards, in cars or computers for example, to protect them). I worked here for six months before moving to a company who make polymers for coatings, adhesives and gloves. This was a better fit for me because it was more closely aligned with my PhD research.
