CV

• Education:

  I did my bachelor’s and my master’s degrees in Computer Science at the University of Chicago in the USA. Prior to that, I did the IB Diploma, and prior to that I just did the local curriculum in India.

• Work History:

  I jumped straight from university to my PhD, but I did a bunch of internships at computer science-y places. Here’s a list ordered by the most recent bits first.

  The summers after my third and fourth year in university, I interned at Amazon Web Services as a Science intern, where I was researching methods and contributing to an open source (publicly available!) language we were building.

  The summer after my second year in university, I interned at Amazon Web Services as a Software Engineering intern, where I worked on improving automation and testing for a service. The thing I worked on was wayyy too many layers behind anything anyone would interact with, but it kind of looked like this:

  

  The summer after my first year in university, I did some online high school and SAT tutoring. That was fun!

  Spring of my first year in university, I worked with a financial technology start-up that aimed to make it easier for workers in Latin America to take out loans.

  The summer after eleventh grade, I worked at a financial technology start-up, writing more code 🙂

  The summer after tenth grade, I worked at a financial technology startup, where I mostly worked in Excel. They enjoyed working with me and invited me back for a software internship the following year!
