I designed a system that looked at erosion at river bridge foundations. It was mounted on a big vehicle (unimog), had a big extending crane and a sonar device and camera on the end.

The biggest thing I have helped build was a big ship engine that we had to use a crane to help us move all the parts of the engine. We also needed ladders and harnesses to work on the top of it.

I was once on a team of over 50 engineers creating just the control system software for a new build chemical factory. I worked on it for three years but some of my co-workers worked on it for over 10 years. There were thousands of people helping to design and build the factory overall.

I helped to design the foundations for the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. I worked on the Ariane 6 rocket launch facility which included a really massive building. I also worked on the Randaberg tunnel in Norway which will be the world’s longest road tunnel.

I helped design a huge underground tunnel – it was about 5 miles long and the height of 2 double decker busses – but it wont’ ever have anyone in it because it’s for storm water to prevent flooding!
